Painting the Word
so you can treasure what matters for eternity.
You’re familiar with the daily grind. The busyness that begins from the moment you rise and that continues until the moment you lay your head down again. Even amidst the beauty that surrounds you, it’s not always easy to lift your gaze to see God in the midst of the hustle.
You're longing for those quiet moments and gentle reminders of truth throughout your day, but the clutter and the noise tend to drown out what really matters.
What you need is a pause (maybe a good cup of coffee) and a moment to be reminded of eternal truths, to refocus on what really matters even in the most mundane moments of your day.
Picture this: You lift your gaze away from the glowing screen and find your eyes drawn to a verse from Isaiah, masterfully hand-lettered in delicate watercolours, set within a frame of captivating painted imagery. It whispers, “You will keep in perfect peace, those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you”.
Later you face a stack of post-dinner dishes, and your gaze lifts once more to discover another encouragement from the Word, urging you to “serve one another humbly in love”. Then as you guide your children to bed, a simple painting of Noah’s Ark ignites a meaningful conversation about God’s grace and salvation for humanity.
If you’re yearning for those gentle, daily reminders of God’s timeless Truth, if you wish to treasure what holds value for eternity, and if you long for more opportunities to spark conversations about faith, then you’re in the perfect place.
My passion is to paint the Word, to help you engage with it daily so that you can do all of the above.

Welcome to my gallery of the Word in visual form. I am so delighted you’re here!
I’m Kaye,
a Brisbane-based artist and mother.
I create Bible-based artwork for individuals and families who long to colour their day with the truth of God’s Word.
My art serves as a gentle reminder to mothers and families to treasure the timeless truths of the Bible in their daily lives, all while filling their everyday spaces with artistic beauty and calm.
With a lifetime of artistic experience (thanks to my artist mother), multiple awards, and three years of theological study under my belt, I feel the weight of portraying the Scriptures skillfully, accurately and beautifully with the highest quality materials and painting techniques.
I am currently completing my Master in Teaching (Secondary) with a double major in Religion and Visual Art. I am passionate about the intersection of faith and art and am eager to impart this to others.
I have exhibited internationally and have worked with ministries such as Risen Motherhood and Bible Society Australia to communicate the truth of the gospel to families abroad. I feel privileged to continue this work of visually communicating the message of the Word for as long as I am able!

a little story of my painting history…
I grew up watching my mother paint in her studio and attended almost every workshop she hosted. There were always papers, pens, brushes and paints for me to create alongside her. Growing up in the colourful landscapes of South Africa, there was also a wealth of inspiration surrounding me.
I’ll always remember my very first “serious” painting. Back when I was an 8-year-old girl, all I wanted to do was paint animals. My first was a meerkat with soft fur, set against a fuzzy green background, and framed in a rather garish gold frame. Unfortunately, this painting was lost when we moved to Australia, but I continued to paint animals throughout my school years. They evolved into abstract, brightly coloured, patterned animals - I’d be embarrassed to show you those old paintings now. But we all start somewhere.
Amazingly, people were so supportive of my work in my school years, and the sales of my animal paintings enabled me to participate in various humanitarian and Bible-based projects in many countries. I’m truly grateful for these opportunities. It marked the start of my journey towards realising that my art could serve a more profound purpose beyond painting pretty pictures. My trips to Russia were significant in sparking the beginning of my Bible narrative painting journey.
Fast forward twenty years or so, and here I am still painting, with Bible narratives being at the heart of what I do. My main mediums are acrylic and oil on board, but in the last decade I’ve ventured into the world of watercolour. My goal is to unite the themes across all my paintings to ensure that all my work helps you to treasure God and His Word above all else.
THEA, MOTHER OF TWO
“We adore the painting Kaye did for us some years ago. We gave Kaye two verses that came to us when I was pregnant with each of my kids: Psalm 139:14 and Isaiah 49:16. We love how she has visualised those verses for our family. This year has been tough for our family, but each day we see this painting and we’re reminded that Christ died for our children and our Heavenly Father holds them in His hands. We are so grateful for this reminder to trust, hope and pray, and to rest in the knowledge that we are held.”
